Helping you find your perfect companion

Helping more rescue pets reach more of the right homes.

We built Pet Matcher because too many brilliant rescue pets go unseen simply because they're spread across hundreds of small websites. Our job is to help more of them find the right home, faster, and to never charge a rescue for it. We bring together adoptable pets that UK rescue centres list publicly, so adopters can find them all in one place without checking twelve different sites.

Want more than that?

If your rescue centre has pets up for adoption online, there's a good chance yours are already here: no signup, no fee. Petdatabase.com is our sister site where you can register your animals directly with your own photos and details, exactly as you enter them. Registered pets become verified listings, shown with your own photos and details and given priority in matching results. If you'd rather not appear at all, you're in control, and we've made it easy.

How your pets ended up on Pet Matcher

How your pets ended up on Pet Matcher

Pet Matcher brings together adoptable pets that rescues already publish online: ours is just one more place they show up, automatically, at no cost to you. You don’t need to set anything up, and if you’d ever rather manage your listing yourself or come off entirely, that’s easy too (see below).

What we show comes from what's publicly on your site, which means it's only as current and detailed as your listings are. If your site says a pet's still available after it's been adopted, ours will too, until your site updates or you tell us directly.

What you actually get

Enquiries from people who already know what they're taking on

Every adopter on Pet Matcher fills in a profile first: home, time, budget, experience. Our algorithm only shows them pets that genuinely fit that profile, so the enquiries reaching you come from people already matched against what your pet needs, not just anyone who liked the photo.

Reach, without lifting a finger

Your pets show up here automatically and reach thousands of adopters without you maintaining a profile, updating a listing, or learning another platform. If your website has the details, we've likely already got them.

Fewer pets coming back

A rescue's worst outcome is a returned animal. Our matching exists to cut down how often that happens. Adopters matched on time, space, and experience before they apply are less likely to find out three months in that it wasn't the right fit. We can't promise every adoption sticks. It's the whole point of how we built this.

Automatic listings show what's publicly on your website, and only as current as your last update. Register your animals directly on petdatabase.com, our sister site, and they become verified listings, shown with the photos and details exactly as you've entered them and given priority in matching results. It's free. Your automatically-listed pets keep appearing either way, registering just puts you in control of how they show up.

How it works for rescues

You may already be here

If your rescue lists adoptable pets on your own website, we may already have added them to Pet Matcher. No action needed.

Register your details (optional)

Register your pets on petdatabase.com to become a verified listing: your own photos and details, shown with priority in matching results, and confirmed by you as yours to list.

Receive matched enquiries

Adopters who fit what your pet needs get in touch. You still run your own application process, home checks, and final decision. We just make sure the people reaching out are worth your time.

Leaving Pet Matcher

You're free to have your rescue centre removed from Pet Matcher whenever you want, no explanation required.

Click the takedown link on any of your pet's listing pages. Tell us it's a full removal request and within 48 hours we'll take down your rescue's profile and every listing tied to it, and stop adding new listings from your website going forward.

To keep this safe from misuse, we will ask you to verify that you are a genuine representative of the rescue centre. If you're not registered with us yet, or you've lost account access, email info@petmatcher.com and we'll verify you and handle it directly.

Ready to take control of your listings?

Being found automatically is a start. Verified listings, your own details, priority in results and full control are better, and it's free.
